Progress Report v0.6 (Part 3/3) (Release February 7th)


Thank you all for your patience! 

This devlog will be pretty short, but there will be another one coming in about 7 days.


This was posted in the discord a few days ago but for those of you who haven't seen it yet:


Some unmentioned additions shown in the trailer:
1. Pheromone clouds: They make your salvor all hot and bothered if you have her move around too much in them.
2. Dark Levels: Data is no longer saved on your maps, explorer gear is recommended on these levels.
3. Flooded Levels: These flooded variations are faster to traverse with a snorkel kit but they may also attract more salvors.
4. Salvor dates: If you talk with your salvor enough or choose certain choices you may have the option to go on a date from the home tab. This will grant you certain unique events/mechanics + food.
5. Tish makes different faces when talking. (Not much to say here, I just think it's cute)
6. Static interference: Moving forward certain levels will have objects that cause static interference. It may remove your ability to keep map data or remove your ability to scan any map data at all.
7. There are a couple of rare and hidden things that I'll leave for a surprise as well.


I'll be continuing to work on the update and progressing toward getting the game released on Steam up until the 7th.


The next update's release devlog (AFTER this update's release devlog v0.6) will be v1.0: the final major update for Salvor DEEP adding 8 more levels, 2 endings, + some other stuff. I will announce the date for v1.0's release during that devlog as well.
