Is there spanking/BDSM content? I ask this a lot on this site, but it's particularly relevant here on account of this game costing money and the amount of such aforementioned content affecting my decision to purchase.
Finished the game on Steam and loved it! The storytelling, the atmosphere of these inhospitable, desolate environments are really well-delivered through such a minimalist artstyle (talking about the map, not the well-drawn character art). Almost a shame it's a porn game so I can't recommend it to anyone ;) In short, wanted to thank you very much for your work!
True, NSFW games are such a double-edged sword. There were a few suggestions early on in development that I should take the game into a horror direction instead of a lewd one. Honestly, with all the recent events regarding the NSFW presence on storefronts, I feel like that would have been a fun direction to take it in hindsight. XD
Well it must have been extremely early into development, because the work you've done on all the character and "encounter" art, making it variable based on the expansion level is enormous! Still, an interesting "what if". Because won't lie to you, during that last level with the monster all I was thinking was "man, am I lucky this is a porn game and I won't be scared any more than I am now" XD Yeah, what's happening with NSFW games and payment processors is really not great, but it's all the more reasons to support people like you who, with their work, fight for creative freedom! So all the best on your next game ;)
I believe that ending path should start when the salvor interacts with the pirates in the pirate base. If not, there might be something wrong with the save or you may have activated the other ending on an older version of the game.
Unfortunately that ending story path only progresses when Dispatch notices salvor gets caught, you can click the NTRish button in the options menu to disable those scenes but I didn't want to change the gameplay impact so the pirates will still be disabled.
After that happens, there's a conversation about it with an after-mission conversation or 2. That should put you on the right track. Although the exact details of how the full rest of the story plays out are fuzzy for me, if there is a problem I think the best solution would be to try ending more missions to see if there are any remaining after-mission conversations.
What the fuck? the sunken veil team literally just deleted everything like an hour ago. what even happened? not trying to be rude or anything, just wanna know the situation as I'm not a paid member.
Quickly paid the lowest thing just to read it, so I got you:
"I am sorry to write this, but with a recent family death and the issues we faced at launch I just don't have the strength to work on this anymore, it just isn't what I want to do. I thank you all for supporting and for enjoying the game that we could at least do. The discord is closed, please make sure to unsub I don't want anyone paying for a project that isn't happening. Goodbye."
Everything else on the patreon seems to be gone, it's just one post. No comments
Sheesh, I only found Sunken Veil the other day and thought "Huh, this looks very familiar", now this happened.
Heya, joined the "Sunken Veil train" in the beginning when it was still a "fanwork".
Thing is, much of the development's direction can be attributed to Numerical, the previous lead who has - as you can obviously see - just bailed out of the project in rather spectacular fashion. You can ask Del himself but one can say the communication was "lackluster".
While the game had pivoted away from a "mere" fanwork to an actual "new game", I agree it still contains way too many "original" elements to be wholly separate. That said, much of the game has literally been reconstructed in a new engine so I'd say it's not a carbon copy.
Right now however, given that it's literally the day after and the project is picking itself up, they can genuinely start on new bases given enough time.
Yeah, it was just strange. It's easy to say what the "Problems at launch" were, but if that passing family member part is true I hope they're doing ok.
I think most people would agree that being inspired by someone else's creation is completely ok. If you wear that inspiration on your sleeve, it's almost a wink-wink-nudge-nudge kind of thing. If it's getting any closer towards 'a copy', then it should be expected that one would ask permission.
Honestly, I liked Sunken Veil's original stuff. Their animations were smooth, well detailed too. But... it's literally just Salvor Deep with minor differences. Same level layouts, encounters, characters, mechanics, story beats: everything just had a bit of extra 'spice'.
If I was told it was a mod, I'd believe it. The dev should have either: - Adapted some ideas from Salvor Deep and made their own game about lewd deep sea diving. Or - Be very open and honest about it's usage of Salvor Deep and got some kind of "go ahead" from Delusria.
I think in the end the dev bit off more than they could chew, so I hope they learn from this.
I'm another person who had been following Sunken Veil since its inception as a fan game and from what I've seen, both sides are suspect.
I bought Salvor Deep soon after it released and ever since have checked Delusria's twitter, this itch.io page and the game's Steam discussions daily for any updates or news. Same goes for Sunken Veil; ever since the first posts on reddit, I've checked the dev's reddit account daily for updates and news.
Delusria should have been aware of Sunken Veil since its dev told very early in reddit comments back in June that he allegedly had had Delusria's go-ahead for the remake. Whether he ever got a permission for a larger scope reimagining is another matter.
There also was a comment here on itch made in August where someone asked if Delusria knew about Sunken Veil. Delusria answered yes. The post was deleted recently, which is suspicious.
If at any point Delusria wanted to denounce the project for not having his permission, he could have done so. Yet publicly, he had chosen to let it be. And now that Sunken Veil's public demo got released, his only public assent to knowing about the game (to my knowledge) vanishes and he's acting surprised that a remake-turned-fan-game is similar to its originator.
The Sunken Veil dev could have been lying too, for all that I know, and all this is hard to prove now that most evidence has been deleted. But I don't think Delusria has been completely honest either.
@ncn Your lack of info is causing you to make a lot of incorrect assumptions here.
You're not talking about Sunken Veil, you're talking about Salvor DEEP: Resubmerged.
Please do not attempt to start arguments on my store page. Normally I would delete a post like this, you can bring your questions to my discord server and I will answer them when I log on, but I will remove things here if you continue.
Welp, just came to your page and saw that there was a misunderstanding between you and Num3rical. Very unfortunate, as I've definitely contributed more to that project than I did your original work. I hope something is able to be worked out between you two, because while they aren't charging for the game, they are asking for donations to continue development work. I hope an agreement can be reached, as I really enjoyed Salvor Deep, and was looking forward to Sunken Veil, but I won't be supporting the project again until it receives your full approval.
While I've had a lot of fights with those people after they banned me, it isn't my intention to pit the community against them. It just happened to be the reality I woke up to. Even though I will no longer support anything they do, my problems are with the Sunken Veil team, not you guys. I don't want to keep you guys from enjoying any content. I want you to support anyone as you wish.
But, thanks bro. That's very kind of you. And it means a lot to me to hear something like that at a time like this.
As mentioned in another comment, I've learned of SD through Sunken Veil and I've come to appreciate both projects for what they are.
I can 100% understand how this whole situation would leave you a bitter taste but I'd argue now -kinda counterintuitively - is the best time out of any to trust the team to change what exists.
You can even reach out to them and ask that they change existing stuff up to your standards now that you know what the baseline is.
The original game was great, SV could also be better but I want them to stand on their own if they have to be called great. I'll say, they have done a LOT of work to reach to this point -including redoing pretty much all of the assets - so you can rest assured that if something can be done to fix the situation, they're the people to talk to.
Num3rical has taken your game and called it Sunken Veil and replaced all the characters with their own, and added complete new scenes to match their own characters. But they kept pretty much all your maps and everything. Just changed some dialogue here and there, but seems like it's still a carbon copy of your original game. Seems more like a fan made version. The game is currently free though. So they are not charging for it. Thought you should know.
You're welcome! They have deleted all my comments on Patreon and Itch of pointing out their assets and maps are from your game when I noticed. And asking if it's a fan made edit. Instead of simply replying saying it's a fan made edit and inspired they deleted everything. It does say "Inspired by Del and his game Salvor Deep go check it out." But that's it.
at first I was like okay maybe he just took some assets but no from the writing, ofc the maps, the HUD, sound effects. Essentially they plagiarized like 95% of your game pretty much
Sure thing LMoin! 1. Some people have had troubles with their firewalls blocking the game this can prevent the game from grabbing certain files which may get you stuck there. 2. Alternatively, if you want to check if something may have saved incorrectly, you can go to C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\LocalLow\Delusria\Salvor DEEP and delete the player data file and restart the game.
since the latest update i'm experiencing a glitch in the after mission dialogue, her initial line of dialogue doesn't appear so i can't always keep track of the conversation. It just looks like the boss replies to something she didn't say
I see, I'll look into it. A few questions: 1. Is there any language that you're using other than english? 2. Do you remember what conversation it is? 3. Are you able to replicate it?
I know that this game isn't as much as a priority anymore but I would request to have an option to play the sound effects of the salvor's interactions with things. Like add a button that plays the expansion sounds in the gallery. Fantastic game btw!
I know you've previously stated that you are planning on focusing on other projects first before you consider further updates, but as a future consideration, I'd like to suggest a Android Port. Thank you!
itch.io just delisted all adult games from search results. This means nearly all traffic for your games is gone. There have been people whose titles have been deleted altogether as well. Spread the word, this injustice must not stand!!! You still have your Follows available. Reach far and wide for the others.
There is a change.org petition and the "Fair Access to Banking Act" bill in the works. Sign the petition and talk to your representatives for the bill people!
really love the idea and got it to run once but now any time i try to run it its just a brief flash of the start screen then black and it says its not responding even reset entire pc but nada.
yoooooo thank you so much deleting that fixed the issue :) (Was using the latest version, happened after i entered full screen in the settings if that helps)

Only fetishes mentioned in the tags of this game are available. Unfortunately, there's no BDSM or spanking.

Truuuue, thanks, Giovanni! I appreciate the love all the way from Steam. <3
Is there ever going to be an actual ending where you end up with salvor?
I believe that ending path should start when the salvor interacts with the pirates in the pirate base. If not, there might be something wrong with the save or you may have activated the other ending on an older version of the game.
right, then what are the paths in that or are the pirates just gonna bang her regardless ;-;

I see, damn, not sure if I'm gonna retry it now since it all doesn't quite sit right, but we will see i guess, thx for the help dude
I got the ending, I just did all the levels in order of depth lol (I also didn't miss any interactables)
I love the art, the expressions, everything just lovely <3 thank u
I'm glad you enjoyed the art Vikator! Thank you for playing!
Are we able to start a new playthrough
In the map menu there should be an option in the bottom left to reset your data.
Alternatively, you can delete your save file in (something like this):
C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\LocalLow\Delusria\Salvor DEEP\Playerdata.json

Rooting for your success, hope you can do animation next
Thanks guy!
Could you please help me ? I bought the game on DLsite but when i play it I'm stuck on the start screen with only the option button

does it have sex scenes?
Indeed! Later in the game it begins to heat up.
alright, guess i'll consider it then
